The Centurion Lounge at Los Angeles International Airport is still closed due to building repairs which began in June of last year. Since there is no timeline for when the Centurion lounge will open again it might be best to consider this ahead of time and make other arrangements or arrive as late as possible for your flight. The TBIT can be accessed via intra-terminal connector from other LAX terminals as well but it’s quite a hike as the airport is a monster.Īmerican Express card members have only one other lounge option when departing from LAX which is the Delta Skyclub but only when flying Delta, and guests incur an additional charge. We apologize for the inconvenience and look forward to welcoming our premium Card Members back soon. The Centurion® Lounge at Los Angeles International Airport is temporarily closed due to building repairs. You can access American Express page for the LAX Centurion Lounge here. We’re nearing the one-year anniversary of this club lounge and most of this time it has been closed. It’s unclear what caused the lounge to suddenly close its doors in the first place but what’s going on there right now is nothing but a bag of excuses from American Express. Reader Email: What Is Going On With The American Express Centurion Lounge LAX? We had a reader question about the club in November and it’s really unbelievable that absolutely nothing has happened since: No idea why the international terminal at LAX which still has a lot of flights has almost all outlets shut down and exhibits such as apocalyptic feel? I’ve visited many airports in the last few months and most of them were pretty lively. The First Class section of the Star Alliance Lounge was nice enough though the catering was absolutely disappointing and the Tom Bradley Terminal appeared like a ghost town in the height of the pandemic. I did end up at the Star Alliance Lounge for 20 minutes instead:

Another fail for the Amex paperweight in my wallet. When I departed on my ANA flight two weeks ago I would have loved to visit the Centurion lounge to at least have a look at it but still nothing. It’s also a very bad look for Amex that cries total disregard for paying customers and incompetence at that.Įspecially since Amex has a huge advertisement in the terminal, including a display that says the lounge would be “Reopening Soon” but that has been there for quite some time already: This is extremely disappointing for those travelers who were looking forward to using the Centurion out of LAX Tom Bradley Terminal for international departures.
